Chinatown in melbourne city on Lunar New year

the streets were flooded of people from all walks of life

To usher in the new year with good luck for businesses

the lion has to chomp the head of lettuce at their door step and after which light off a round of fire crackers.

i thought the crackers were to scare the lion away?

and i think they got the lion to eat it as the dragon head does not have a wide movable mouth.

The train tracks near my student’s house.

her house is like a billion miles away from my house and from the station

i have to walk 15 mins in the scorching sun to reach her house, 3 times a week
